Debbie's Obituary

Deborah Eleanor Brooks (Bangert), 72, went peacefully to be with God on Tuesday, January 23, 2017. Debbie was born in Philadelphia on August 26,1944.

She is pre-deceased by her mother, Deborah Nora Bangert (Leddy); and father, John Lansing Bangert. She is survived by her Aunt Sue, Sr. Therese Leddy, SND the last of the great generation at 91 years young.

She is survived by her children that she loved very much, son, Darrin (Kathy Snavely); and daughter, Kelli Wenzel (Raymond); her granddaughters, Sarah and Lauren, who she adored; her siblings who she was tremendously close with, sister Mary Ann (Gene); and identical twin brothers, John (Gail) and Joe Bangert; her nieces and nephews, whose many successes she enjoyed following; and her great nephew Oscar Sprague, who was very special to her.

Debbie also leaves behind the best of friends who were as important to her as her family. Debbie was a longtime resident of Cardiff, and most recently resided at Woodview Estates Assisted Living in Mays Landing.

She was quick witted and laughed easily. She loved gardening, flowers and spending time in the fresh air. She found great joy in her faith in God and longtime friendship with Father Cal La Verde.

She was honored to be a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and Member of the Divine Mercy Fraternity. She will be missed in the lives of those who knew her.

Services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Avenue in Linwood, NJ, with visitation from 10:00-11:30am, followed immediately by a Mass celebrating her life. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, Galloway and Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357).
